This past Monday, January 21st, The City of Sandy Springs Recognized Los Niños Primero in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., for the service work done with the children and families of Sandy Springs!
Executive Director, Maritza Morelli was first to speak on the history and importance of the organization and all that has been achieved since its inaugural class in 2001.
Coordinator and former LNP student Abel Rivera spoke to the impact the program has had on his life academically and personally.
LNP Volunteer Coordinator, Jordan Keppler, spoke on how her participation as a youth volunteer and coordinator lead her to pursue a career in early childhood development.
Mother Ingrid Lopez talked about the positive impact the programs have had on her daughter and her own growth as a parent. The Dance group and Children’s Chorus both had moments to perform and showcase all they’ve learned!
Los Niños Primero is honored in receiving such a recognition for the work done with the local community and families!
